Philippe Limoge – Electro Libre

Visiting Artist

Electronic

10 September 5:54am
19 April 7:30pm Ian Hanger Recital Hall

An evening-length recital program presented by esteemed French musician Phillipe Limoge, is built around percussion instruments (Vibraphone, Marimba, Drums) and personal compositions that cover a broad spectrum of genres, encapsulating an extensive range of instrumental/vocal improvisation (Beatbox) in an “Electro” musical current.

Electro libre represents a concentration of experiences and research in the world of artistic creation around sound design. It arouses freedom and the possibility of action or movement in the present time. This project offers instrumental and sonic discovery and involves the exploration of digital tools: Midi controllers (any hardware or software that generates and transmits Musical Instrument Digital Interface (MIDI) data to MIDI-enabled devices, and Sound card (extension card to increase the sound capabilities of a computer) to allow the musician to make the music alone in real time on stage.

Tickets are $22 at the door. $17 Concession tickets are also available.
